Republic of Iraq is situated in Western Asia and has always been under media attention for its wars that has continued for many years. Until 2003 Iraq was controlled by the Ba’ath Party and after the invasion by the American and British forces the Ba’ath was removed from power and Iraq came under military occupation by a multinational coalition. In 2010 the U.S. became the last member of the coalition to cease combat operations in Iraq which after a year led to the end of the Iraq war in 2011.
