The South Korean tech giant had the strongest one-year growth of all the brands in the top 100. With the sales of Galaxy S4 being as high as ever and benefitting from its market leading position with memory products, the value of Samsung Electronics is up 136 percent over the last three years. According to IDC, the company’s Smartphone shipments rose 40 percent to 81.2 million in the third quarter.

#6 Intel

Brand value: $30.9 billion

1-year change: -4 percent

Intel is the only company in the top 10 to have had a value decline. The microprocessor giant that dominated the PC industry for years in the past seems to be struggling today, as consumers’ preferences have changed, they are now turning to tablets and other mobile computing technologies. Even though Intel is still the undisputed market leader in the PC segment its products are yet to gather steam in the mobile industry.
