When Marissa Mayor joined Google in 1999, she was the first female engineer there. Since 2010 she has been the Vice President of Local and Maps for Google, mentoring the company’s product development efforts. Mayer has also worked on Google's search products.

At a very young age she became one of the leading tech executives in the world. Beyond that she contributes her valuable time for serving the boards of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Ballet, the New York City Ballet, and the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. And very recently, she was nominated for the board of Walmart.

At the Women Powering Technology Summit in 2011, she delivered her message of gender neutrality in technology.
