LIFX is a multi-colored LED smart bulb that you control with your Smartphone and is Wi-Fi-enabled. Hue and brightness of the bulbs can be controlled with a Smartphone app, and third-party developers will be able to introduce apps that can control the behavior of individual bulbs or a network of bulbs. A successful Kickstarter pitch has helped LIFX reach most of its operating costs. According to cofounder Daniel May, "We're gearing up for full-scale production in the coming months, so it's very much the pointy end of things," reports Tech Crunch.
