Bordeaux in France is known for being the number one region for producing the world’s highest quality wine. Bordeaux has around 284,320 acres of the best vineyards available in the world and this region alone makes up to 960 million bottles of wine per year. The verities of made here ranges from everyday table wine to some of the most expensive wine in the world. Some of the biggest names in the wine industry like Chateau d’Yquem and Chateau Cheval Blanc selling for tens of thousands of dollars, come from Bordeaux. A 1947 made bottle of wine was sold at a price of $304,375 at an auction by Christie’s in Geneva and this is considered to be the greatest bottle of wine Bordeaux has ever produced.
