He is an Australian American media tycoon and also the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the News Corporation, which is regarded as the world’s second largest media conglomerate. He took over many companies like The Times, the Sun, Twentieth Century Fox, Harper Collins, The Wall Street Journal etc.  In 2011 his company faced lot of allegations like hacking the phones of people and many employees were arrested.  Murdoch was listed 38^th richest person in the U.S. and the 106^th richest person in the world according to the 2011 Forbes Richest Americans list. He has appeared three times in the Time 100 among most influential people in the world. In 2012 Forbes Most Powerful Person in the world list he stood 24^th. His yearly salary is $29.4 million.
