In Thailand incidents of terrorism are mostly related to South Thailand insurgency, which is going on for decades now. It is an ethnic separatist insurgency which is occurring in Southern Thailand, also known as Unrest in Southern Thailand. The violence of the insurgency has affected other provinces, the campaign was on it heights in 2004. The most recent of the major terror attacks is the 2012 Bangkok bombing, where a series of bombings occurred in Bangkok, injuring five people. The attack was planned by Iranians to assassinate Israeli diplomats; several Iranians were arrested for the attack.

One of the major terror attack in Nigeria was in 2010 during the Independence Day celebrations when the nation’s capital, Abuja was attacked. The senior leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Henry Okah was convicted by the South African court for bombing the capital that killed 12 people in January 2013. Also the suspects of the 2011 bombing and robbery of the Union Bank of Nigeria Plc were charged on thirteen count charges with various offences under the Terrorism Prevention Act, Law of the Federation of Nigeria. The cause for terrorism in many countries is a fight for liberation and freedom, but in the third world countries, poverty has also given rise to this social evil.
