# 2 How did it come about?

Google Glass which runs on Android OS, is a part of the new wave technology known as ‘wearable computing’.  The tech giant’s co-founder, Sergey Brin has been overseeing the work on Google Glass, which the company had been developing in 2010 as part of the secretive company division called Google X.

# 1 The Specifications

Recently New York Times had reported that the Google Glass will run on Android 4.0 and the small screen in front of your eyes will have motion sensors, GPS or either 3G or 4G data connections. The camera will be accompanied with flash.

The glasses will be equipped with vibrating speakers to deliver audio. Techradar has reported that Google is experimenting on regular glass designs so that one who normally wears spectacles can switch to these glasses avoiding replacements every time.
