He challenged Michael Dell for his eponymous computer company and lost, but forced Dell and Silver Lake Partners to up their bid to $24.9 billion, according to Forbes. After the bets on Netflix and Herbalife he had a profit of $500 million and made a total net worth of $7.2 billion in 2013.
