#5 Mahindra Bolero

The Mahindra Bolero is an SUV which is designed to carry seven or ten people. The fifth best-selling vehicle in India has sold 102005 units between January and November 2013. It is a basic utility vehicle that is well-suited to Indian conditions. Even though it is based on a decades-old platform, its high ground clearance makes it easier to drive on rural Indian roads. Equipped with a 2523 cc diesel engine, it has become the vehicle of choice for rural populace.

#4 Maruti Wagon-R

It is one of the first cars to use the "tall wagon" or "tall boy" design, in which the car is designed to be unusually tall with a short bonnet and almost vertical hatchback, and sides in order to maximize the cabin space while staying within the kei car dimension restrictions. The car with different design has sold 149079 units between January and November 2013.

There is also a different design with the engine too. It has R06A engine combined with an electric motor/generator and a lithium-ion battery, this new ENE-CHARGE provides regenerative braking and at least some level of power assist to the internal combustion engine while it can also run certain electrical equipment. Thanks to this technology, the new Wagon R can get up to 28.8 km as claimed by the company.
