#7 Nike’s innovation kitchen and sports research lab

Known to develop the first Air Jordan in the past, Nike’s innovation Kitchen and Sports research lab has extremely limited access. However the centre may be located on the company’s main campus in Oregon.

Now it seems that Nike Digital Sport is pushing the company’s digital transformation with items like the FuelBand. The Sports Research centre is fitting clothing to particular body types with a 3D scanner and the innovation kitchen is developing technology as used in the Flyknit Racer which went through around195 major iterations in the Innovation Kitchen.

#6 Jony Ive’s Apple Design Lab

The best early example of Skunk Works can be seen in Apple. Steve Jobs and his handpicked group of 20 people moved into a small building called Texaco Towers, to create what we now call the Machintosh.
