Apple I

Hand-built by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, it marked its debut in the year 1976 and it was the first all-in-one microcomputer with which the company began its journey. It came as a kit and was priced at $666. More than 200 units were sold by the Byte Shop, an early computer store and Apple I became the most collectible PCs of all time in 1999.

Macintosh

The Macintosh was introduced on January 24, 1984 and it was the first affordable computer to offer a graphical user interface. It replaces stuffy text-based operating systems with an intuitive layout of folders and icons. It was the first affordable computer priced at $2495.

Return of Jobs

In 1985, a struggle followed between Jobs and John Sculley led to the resign of Jobs from Apple. The mysterious technological journey of Apple started in 1997 with the deteriorating fortunes and it was Jobs, the relentless zealot who was needed more than ever. In August of that year, Jobs rejoined the board becoming the CEO initially. Soon enough, he became recognized as one of the company’s most valuable assets. Later, in 2009, when news broke that Jobs’ failing health forced him to take medical leave, Apple’s stock fell almost 10%.
