3. Nochikuppam Slum, Chennai:

Chennai, “The city of flyovers” has Nochikuppam slum that has about 1,300 huts. It is home to around five thousand people who live below poverty line.  The people here struggle to even have two meals a day.

 

4. Rajendra Nagar Slum, Bangalore:

Bangalore alone holds 570 slums from a total of around 2000 slums in the State. It is estimated that about 20 percent of Bangalore population reside in slums. The families living in the slums refuse to move into the temporary shelters as they find it risky to live under a flyover.
