China
Even though China shows more number of military manpower than Russia which is 749,610,775 and has more aircrafts - 5,176 in total; even the naval units are more, with total 972 navy ships, it is on the third place. The ranking is based on the resources and other criteria’s of these countries which disregards China’s military strength by number and is evaluated on its possessions such as the oil reserves. As per the data China has an oil production estimate of 4,273,000 bbl per day where as Russia shows 10,120,000 bbl per day of oil production and the verified oil reserves in China is 20,350,000,000 bbl which Russia beats with 74,200,000,000 bbl. In recent development in the Chinese force, it has reorganized the Army for faster deployment of its troops by reducing the size of its units and the same is being applied to the Navy and Air Force.

India
India takes the fourth spot with a total strength of 615,201,057 military personnel. The air force is equipped with 2,462 aircrafts. The navy unit shows 175 naval ships. The oil production of the country is estimated to 878,700 bbl per day and the verified oil reserves are 5,800,000,000 bbl per day has also been taken into account. As for the Indian military force history, it has the longest one, which dates back to many millennia. The armies were first referred in the Vedas; also eminently it’s mentioned in epics of Ramayana and Mahabaratha. The Indian Armed forces has signed a pact to protect the participants in UN peacekeeping operations as one of its main tasks.
