Vidur Kapur:

“I was born in India as one of the ‘haves’,” admits Kapur. “So I had the luxury to go abroad. Those who don’t have the wherewithal to do that will have a much harder struggle. But if you hang in there and have hope and faith you can get through it. Pain and joy are a part of life. But there is also joy, and great things to be attained.”

A standup comedian, Vidur is a gay Indian in the U.S. Comedy to him is his way to get back at people. “It’s my way of getting back at people, at society,” he says. “Don’t they say comedy is born out of anger? It partly holds true for me.”, as reported by the Hindustantimes.com.

With his more than a hundred and fifty performances at various college campuses in the U.S., he was selected as one of the finalists of one of the segments of the New York Comedy Festival, ‘New York’s Funniest Stand-Up’.
