10 BYOD Concerns for CIOs

#3 Personal and professional use of mobile devices and other technology:

This debate has been there for a very long time. Companies often conduct steady meetings on the use of the mobile devices. Should they be used only within the enterprises or should they be upgraded for unofficial purposes? The debate still goes on and on.

If CIOs go for the safer side, that is the official use, then there is not much to worry about, for the time being.  But if they go for employee satisfaction, then it’s the duty of the companies to ensure the security of the device with local service provider lockdowns and strong passwords for the critical data.

#4 Maintenance and procurement:

CIOs must ensure that they maintain a strong list of certified vendors, primarily based on performance. This eases the problems associated with the selection of consumer devices and areas that needs service for the device.
