Skytree

Skytree is quite interesting as it has a unique approach and has a machine-learning approach to big data analytics. They also raised $18 million in Series A funding round and they can boast a lot about their customer base as it includes eHarmony, SETI, USGA and Adconion Media.

Cloudant's

Founded in 2008 by three MIT physicists, Cloudant has quickly attracted more than 12,000 multi-tenant customers. Last May, the company raised its second round of funding of $12 million which sums up to a total procurement of $16 million. Its customers include - Samsung, DHL, Monsanto, Salesforce.com (Heroku), SourceFire, Hot Head Games, Flurry, AppAdvice, and LiveMocha.
