Zebra Technologies now in Ludhiana

Delhi: Zebra Technologies, a provider in specialty printing and automatic identification solutions is to enter the Punjab market with auxiliary technology to suit the requirements of varied sectors in the industry. Having its presence felt in major cities in India, Zebra Technologies is now looking at reaching out to the tier II and tier III cities in India such as Ludhiana. Shailesh Deshmukh, Country Head, India, Zebra Technologies said, "The export market in Ludhiana is worth $40 million, making Ludhiana a potential market for Zebra."
Zebra Technologies targets sectors across verticals which include retail, pharma, healthcare, and manufacturing, airlines, entertainment and others. In the past year, Zebra has received encouraging responses from companies across these sectors.
The overall market of printing solutions including printers in the country has been growing at a pace of 35-40 percent for the last 3-4 years. Within a short span of time, the overall automatic identification and data capturing industry (AIDC) market has reached
200 crore and it is expected to grow at robust pace.
With the introduction of PartnerFirst Programme in India, Zebra clearly defined roles between distributors, resellers buying through distribution and direct resellers. With its partnership with Ingram Micro, one of the largest distributors in the country and with online distribution largest value added distributors servicing in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, Zebra technologies aims to reach out to newer geographies. Currently the company has close to 75 partners and is looking to double its channel base by the end of this year. Their channel partners in Punjab include Gitanjli Systems, Global Labeling and Unique-id.
JCT, Rajit Paints, Mount Shivalik Breweries, Auto Traders and K.K. Industries are some of the known clients which are associated with Zebra Technologies.
Recently, Zebra Technologies launched the HC100 printer in the Healthcare sector and G-series printer which is applicable to all verticals like Manufacturing, Retail, Airlines, logistics etc. Zebra products largely sold in the Punjab market include the TLP 2844, S4M and ZM400
With the launch of G-series line of thermal Desktop printers, Zebra technologies has opened wide array of innovative features and connectivity options, the new printers bring best-in-class speed, performance, and a heritage of over three million desktop printers sold worldwide to a host of markets and printing applications.
