The mechanical soup spoon was intended for dinner parties where unpalatable soup was served. The offending soup was drained away through the spoon's hollow handle, by a tube concealed up the sleeve, into a bottle attached to the leg. Fetid odors, in the meantime, were blown away by the propeller. The innocent hosts would believe the device is simply for cooling their delicious fare! Simple, clever but seriously insane!
