TCS-Saab joins for ADDC in India

Mumbai: To enhance the scope of aeronautics in India, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) partners with Saab. The IT service company pitched in with the Sweden based aerospace firm for the establishment of an aeronautical design and development center (ADDC) in India of the latter's.
Targeting the aeronautical market, the development center shall craft single source of design and development capabilities within India, in addressing domestic and the global defense and civil aeronautical applications. "This co-operation is not limited to any specific product but is aimed towards building a joint capability to leverage collective strengths across the globe," said Saab CEO Ake Svensson.
ADDCs expertise in the line circles around design and development of structures for new platforms, performance studies and virtual prototyping, aircraft sustenance engineering, manufacturing support, production and after market support, life extension, avionics and mission critical software development.
Moving with the ongoing trend of making pitches, TCS was instrumental in forging the pact.
