Hyderabad: Tata Teleservices (TTSL) is the No.1 least congested mobile operator in India, says the Point of Intersection (POI) report by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) for the quarter from January to March 2008.
According to the report, the congested POI figures of TTSL was10 against 83 POI of Airtel, 41 POI of Reliance and 43 POI of Vodafone. Tata Teleservices is the only operator to maintain consistency in reduction of POI congestion for a period of three months.
"Today mobile customers are very discerning and they look for quality of service rather than just cost advantage," said A.G. Rao, Chief Technology Officer, Tata Teleservices.
POI report monitors the level of congestion at the POI between various service providers on a monthly basis. This is done to ensure seamless interconnection as eight million subscribers are added every month.
