SupportSoft plans to set up STP arm in India

BANGALORE: SupportSoft, a leading provider of service and support automation and endpoint management software for corporate enterprises and broadband service providers, plans to establish a 100 per cent Software Technology Park subsidiary in India, a top company executive said. The company which would have its office here by the end of October, planned to hire 100 people over the years, SupportSoft Country Manager Craig Chatterton told reporters here. He said they would transfer two products to India by the month end. Chatterton said SupportSoft recorded a 33 per cent jump in its revenues worldwide in Q2 of 2003 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company had 180 plus customers, including 25 per cent of the Fortune 50, seven of top 9 US broadband service providers and six leading US outsourcers as partners.
