Sonata Software Q3 net profit up 27 percent

Bangalore: The financial services ISV company, Sonata Software has recorded a 27 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in its net profit for the third quarter (Q3) of this fiscal. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose to 19.90 crore while its revenues grew by 7 percent to stand at 387.75 crore. The Bangalore based tier II software services firm's return on net worth (RONW) grew at 29.96 percent as compared to 29.55 percent for the same quarter of last year. The firm has also registered an increase in return on capital employed (ROCE) at 24.92 percent as compared to 20.33 percent for the same quarter of the previous year. The revenue of the company in Q3, on a stand alone basis grew by 17 percent to 58.45 crore, when compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal, while profit after tax (PAT) stood at 13.73 crore, an increase by 41 percent. B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, Sonata Software said, "The results reflect the focus on delivering business value to customers on an ongoing basis, along with improvement in operational efficiency." The company added three new clients in the third quarter and has reported an earning of 1.31 per share, a YoY increase of 40.86 percent.
