Inaugurating the notebooks, Ranjit Singh Yadav, Director, Samsung India, said "We are expecting to grow seven to eight percent by next year ." Last year, there was a sale of about 800 to 900 notebooks per month and this year the company is expecting a sale of 2500 to 3000 pieces per month. The company claims to possess three percent share of total sale of notebooks in the world and 5.6 percent in Asia Pacific. The biggest challenge for Samsung to tap the netbook market is due to its pricing. While the rival - Acer netbooks are available for 18,000 to 24,000, Samsung netbook is priced at 25,000. However, Samsung India, is betting on the salient features and designer looks of these laptops.
