Bangalore: Emphasizing the responsibility of media, Infosys Chairman Narayan Murthy pinpointed that the media should not resort to portraying the negative all the time. "I know that you need news to fill your front pages and the prime time, but try to portray the positive more," Murthy said while addressing a gathering at the India's technology leaders conference. He has been honored with The George Boole Medal of Honour, for his contribution in developing the information technology sector in India. Maintaining more caution while responding to the Satyam fiasco, he asked the media to do away with the 'second guessing' and instead lobby on to the newly created board. He also refused to comment on any reaction of the industry or the company saying, "We should stop meddling and giving opinions." Shirking other queries on it he insisted on redirecting them to the new Satyam board, which would have more ideas on the developments in Satyam. He also claimed that due to continuous business engagements he was not in touch with the industry happenings.
