R-Com adds 11.3 Million subscribers in January-March

New Delhi: Reliance Communications (R-Com) Wednesday said it has added 11.3 million new subscribers during the January-March quarter this year. "With an addition of three million new subscribers in March, R-Com has achieved a 113 percent growth in quarter-on-quarter subscriber additions," a company statement said. S.P. Shukla, president (wireless business) of R-Com, said the company was "happy to create yet another world record by adding 11.3 million new subscribers in a quarter". "The record subscriber additions are a true testimony of the wide network reach, quality of service and strong product proposition offered by Reliance," he added. The "overwhelming customer response" to R-Com's recently launched GSM services has "enabled us to bag 26 percent market share and experience over 113 percent growth in quarterly net additions," Shukla said. The company commenced commercial operations of its nationwide GSM service in December last year.
