Global Consultants (GCI), a fast growing end-to-end information technology services and business solutions provider, has been riding a high wave with sales crossing $300 million and year on year growth touching 20-25 percent in 2007. With its new global delivery model, the company witnessed a huge surge in worldwide growth and invested in various competencies and domain-based services to provide accelerated value. Now GCI plans to turn the leaf to a new chapter in the company's business starting with a change in its brand. GCI will now be known as Collabera. The name change reflects the spirit of true collaboration and partnership that the company has embodied in its relationships with its customers, employees, partners, suppliers, affiliates and investors. Its recent involvement in acquisitions of IVL India (for SAP Services) and Blue Hammock (for Strategic Consulting) and the appointment of Dominick Cavuoto early last year as CEO is an evidence of this. "Through the past 16 years, our brand has accurately reflected what we did. However, over time, our capabilities and services grew but the brand remained the same. We wanted to create a powerful company brand that could reflect our collaborative and value-based approach while we could continue to build upon and further differentiate us in a crowded global marketplace," said Dominick Cavuoto, CEO of Collabera. "While we still have top notch consultants worldwide and continue development in that arena, we also have burgeoning practice areas that are very much the province of Collabera and are committed to excellent client service." "From the beginning, our goal has always been extremely client-centric and collaborative while looking at and investing in opportunities to enhance our value proposition," said Hiten Patel, founder and chairman of Collabera. "Our new company name points not only to our ongoing commitment to our current and prospective clients, but also to an overall model for growth that has served us and our clients extremely well." Collabera primarily provides onsite, offsite & offshore services to Global 2000 customers in a range of industries, including financial services; technology, communications & media; and manufacturing, retail & logistics. Collabera's core competencies are in the areas of application development and maintenance, emerging technology & eBusiness strategy & development services, enterprise software solutions support, data warehousing & business intelligence and quality assurance and testing.
