Mirae to launch equity fund in India on Feb 11

Mumbai: Marking its foray into the Indian market, South Korean asset manager Mirae Investments' arm Mirae Asset Mutual Fund is launching a diversified equity fund on Monday.
Closing date of ending subscriptions to the Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund?s new fund offer is March 10, said, the fund house.
The open-ended diversified equity scheme will invest at least 65 percent of its corpus in Indian shares and the rest in fixed income securities.
Chief Executive Officer Arindam Ghosh said that the scheme is likely to have a portfolio of 40 shares. Bullish on the prospects of banking and financial services companies, The fund house finds opportunities in investments in power, capital goods and infrastructure sectors, Ghosh said.
