Mastek sets up offshore facility for ePolicy Solutions

MUMBAI: Mastek has set up a dedicated offshore development centre (ODC) in suburban Mumbai for US-based ePolicy Solutions, a company developing and licensing software for the insurance industry. "The setting up of an ODC in India will help both Mastek and ePolicy Solutions build our capabilities in verticals like insurance and provide IT services onsite and offshore from India," Mastek chairman Ashank Desai said in a release on Thursday. ePolicy Solutions had been using Mastek's development capabilities since 2002 and based on that the Indian company was selected to create the centre in Mumbai, he said. The ODC has been set up Mahape in Navi Mumbai, he said. At present, Mastek and ePolicy Solutions are jointly working on a range of projects including client-specific application development, customisation, integration of applications and software products among others, he said.
