Marlabs expands India operations

Bangalore: Marlabs, a provider of technology services and solutions, today announced the expansion of its operations in India with the inauguration of a new 600-seater facility in Bangalore. This move, integrates their three facilities in Bangalore under one roof. Marlabs also aims to build on the offshoring relationships with a growing list of clients to facilitate growth plans in India. The new facility will enable product development, application development and support in India, which implies that significant domain knowledge and IP would be built in India as well. Sunil Nambiar, Head- Global Delivery, Marlabs India said, "The new facilities in Bangalore enhance further our ability to attract an increasing number of talented IT professionals in India who will play a pivotal role in developing products, application development and the overall operation of the Global Delivery Center." He further added, "With this facility in place we are looking at increasing our headcount to over 2000 in the next two years." Vignesh Hebbar, Associate Vice-president, Professional Services, Marlabs India, said, "Over the past few years, we have made tremendous progress in outsourced application development, managed services, professional services and we are gaining significant customer acceptance. The new facility and additional headcount will help us execute our aggressive growth plans as we continue to heavily invest in our R&D as well as customer support functions."
