Lenovo India appoints Ramprasad Lakshminarayanan as VP

Bangalore: Lenovo has announced the appointment of Ramprasad Lakshminarayanan as Vice President, Transactional Consumer Sales for India. Ramprasad will be responsible for the management and growth of Lenovo's channel business, spearheading the business development of Lenovo's consumer brand PCs, IdeaPad and IdeaCentre, and developing the consumer sales network across the country.
Speaking about the announcement, Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India said, "Ramprasad brings with him almost 2 decades of experience in the transactional business space. His commitment to grow and foster channel partnerships will be of immense value to Lenovo as we aim to grow our consumer PC business by penetrating cities and towns across India."

Prior to joining Lenovo, Ramprasad was the Associate Vice President at HCL Infosystems. He has over 19 years of experience in handling channel, distribution and direct account business in HCL Infosystems. Beginning his career in the infrastructure business, Ramprasad's subsequent mandates involved handling the distribution and channel business in various capacities. He is credited with creating and nurturing Toshiba's laptop business in India, for almost a decade.
