IYCN launches Road Tour

Bangalore: The Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) will travel across the country to highlight India's local eco-solutions and raise awareness on global climate change in solar-electric vehicles.
The music band Solar Punch and a group of dancers from Shiamak Davar Victory Arts Foundation would accompany them. An eco-fest featuring film screenings, painting competitions, and musical performances by Solar Punch will be held on January 4 at Cubbon Park. An environmental leadership panel with presentations by environmentalists will be followed by distribution of seeds by Freedom Seeds.
Nandan Nilekani, Chairman, Infosys will share his thoughts on climate change and the vision for India on the way forward at Crossword on January 4, 7pm.
Climate Leadership Training, a full day interactive session on climate change, will be held at Infosys on January 5 featuring basic climate science, campus solutions, creating action plans for implementation and media training to communicate successes. The workshop will end with a Climate Commitment session hosted by Infosys and coordinated by the Indian Youth Climate Network.
The Climate Tour will conduct a workshop on "What Every Manager Should Know About Climate Change" with the All India Management Association, at Bangalore University. A "Climate Entrepreneur Session" at IIM will also be held on January 5.
