MUMBAI: Business software solutions major SAP AG has positioned India among the top three markets for the company in Asia-Pacific (Apac) region excluding Japan, and is planning to double its Small and Medium Business (SMB) in the country in the next two years. "India is an advanced information technology market and we are planning to enrich our industry-specific solutions, strengthen partnership relations and penetrate deeper into vertical segments," SAP Asia Pacific president and chief executive officer Hans-Peter Klaey told reporters here on Wednesday. Australia and China are the two other important markets for the company in the Apac region, he said. SAP is also planning to strengthen its position, he said adding, this would be through focussing on new segments to gain a "commendable" footprint in the country. "We are confident that this strategy will enable us to grow our business by at least 1.5-2 times than that of the industry," Klaey said.
