Bangalore: With the iPhone on the block, it's the turn for iGames. Indian content developers are set to revolutionize gaming through smart games designed specially for iPhones. Developers like Hungama, Games2Win and JumpGames are in the queue to plunge into this upcoming market. As said by Mike McCabe, Electronic Arts (EA) Mobile Asia General Manager, "We believe the iPhone will be a very strong performer in the Indian market and are very excited to bring our games to the market along with the device." With one-third of the 500 applications provided by Apple for games, the industry expects a great boost to the upcoming iGaming. Amongst all the applications provided by the Apple App Store, games are the most popular downloads, with multiple genres to choose from and prices ranging from free to $9.99. There are other international developers like EA, Gameloft, and SEGA bringing in various iGames for the iPhone users. Even Games2win also awaits the market revolution with their intention of targeting the women gamers. Jump Games, on the other hand, has tied up with Vodafone and Airtel, as reported by Economic Times. Thes players are ready for the upcoming zone of the iPhones, though the exact games to be launched are not zeroed on. In contrast to the mobile gaming market hitting $4.1 billion worldwide by 2010, the Indian mobile gaming market is expected to touch 800 crore and have 500 million mobile subscribers by 2010. However, India has its loopholes as it is not much of a downloading market and hence the international audience would be the main target. Games like Texas Hold 'em, Super Monkey Ball, Bejeweled 2 and Scrabble are amongst the most popular paid games of the Apple Store.
