Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala-based IBS Software Services, a provider of new-generation IT solutions to the global travel, transportation and logistics (TTL) industry, plans to open a new development centre in Bangalore by next month. "This has been on our cards for sometime now and we are opening (another centre) in Chennai in the next fiscal itself," IBS chief V.K. Mathews told IANS Wednesday. The Bangalore centre would initially have 300 professionals but would be expanded soon, he said. IBS, based in Technopark here, currently has an office space of nearly 300,000 square feet, employing more than 2,000 professionals at two centres. A third one will be functional from Kozhikode soon. "In the coming years we would be developing another 800,000 square feet of office area. One building is over and another one will come up soon and by 2010 we would be a 10 billion ($250 million) company," Mathews said. IBS was one of the first companies to set up shop in Technopark, which is home to 140 IT and ITeS companies. The company today has operations in Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa through its 11 global business centres. IBS has been rated as one of the top eight IT start-ups in India by Red Herring and one of the top 10 product companies by Business Today.
