HAL inducts graduates from IITs and BITS Pilani
Bangalore: Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), a hub for advanced light combat aircraft has inducted 34 young engineers from the IITs and BITS Pilani, for the first time. The graduates will be posted at HAL's R&D centers, including ARDC (Bangalore), SLRDC (Hyderabad) and TAD (Kanpur) after completing their 52-week training. N. Seshadri, the Executive Director of Rotary Wing Research and Design Centre, HAL, said that the young engineers should update their knowledge with the increasing challenges in the aerospace field. The engineers were selected through rigorous campus recruitment campaign by HAL. "Knowledge-enhancement is the key and HAL will back all practical solutions that will reduce time and cost," said Seshadri. Handling an order book of 40,000 crore, HAL is expected to tread on the path to become a potential expert hub. Anantha Krishnan, the HAL's spokesperson said, "Dhruv, an advanced light helicopter is in demand in the country and the overseas." Also, HAL is expecting orders from Border Security Force (BSF).
