San Francisco: The Internet users who are finding it difficult to search the site properly must be happy with the effort of Alex payne, a 24 year-old internet engineer who has developed a site named 'downforeveryoneorjustme.com', in which the visitor can type in a web address and see whether the site is generally inaccessible or whether the problem is with their own connection. Through this, Payne is trying to answer the question: Is my favorite web site is working today? Payne is working with Twitter, a web messaging and social networking site that is itself known for frequent downtime.
Since more people are searching and making use of a web site same time it may go down for hours. When Amezon site was ultimately down for several hours, a surge of visitors began asking about the problem to Pyne's site. Such kind of a situation will make huge loss for sites like Amezon. Yahoo's system for Internet retailers, Yahoo Merchant Solution, once went down for 14 hours, which affected thousands of e-commerce companies. Experts point to several reasons for the unexpected down of the web site. It may be the system upgrades with the unintended consequences, human error, or even just old fashioned electrical failure.
