EADS prefers HCL as a Tier1 supplier

Farnborough, England: European Aeronautics Defence and Space(EADS) opts for the Indian engineering service provider, HCL as its Tier1 supplier. Amongst over 2000 viable companies, HCL secured its position as one the 28 most preferred suppliers. Rajiv Sawhney, the company's President for Europe, expressed it to be a growing strategic relationship between the aerospace industry and India. HCL supplies EADS with product engineering and technical publication services through its Bangalore based design center. The preference to Indian firms is earlier seen too, with it selecting Quest, provider of outsourced engineering services and manufacturing, for its end-to-end solutions and services to it as well as to its Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers. HCL has reported consolidated revenue of 3017.5 crores during the quarter ended March 31, 2008 taking the Year-To-Date (YTD) 9 months consolidated revenues to 9449.8 crores, a growth of 8% over the corresponding period of the previous year
