D-Link FY04 net profit up by 42%

MUMBAI: D-Link (India) Limited has reported excellent performance for the year ended 31st March, 2004. The total income for the year registered a 19% increase and stood at 
228.13 crore (192.17 crore).
The Profit before Depreciation, Interest and Tax for the year stood at 40.73 crore (28.65 crore). After providing Interest of 0.36 crore (0.35 crore), Depreciation of 4.08 crore (3.55 crore) and provision for taxation of 4.70 crore (2.61 crore), the Net Profit after Tax for the year stood at 31.59 crore (22.13 crore), a sharp increase of 42% over the previous year.
The Board of Directors have recommended a final dividend of 40%. After taking the interim dividend of 100% paid earlier, the total dividend for the year works out to 140%.
In a major development during the year, the Companys Software and R&D Division has started working on development of own IPRs in the area of VoIP, Router, Access Devices, etc. and has already launched locally designed networking and communications products.
