C-DAC signs MoU with Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology

Allahabad: The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a scientific society under the Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India has signed an MoU with Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad as apart of boosting industry-academia partnership for research and development as well as facilitating high end training programmes in Information and Communication Technologies. The MoU envisages strategic collaboration between the two organizations for research and development in areas such as e-Learning, semantic web and high'end non-formal training programmes in Information and Communication Technologies. Speaking to the media, S Ramakrishnan said "It has always been C-DAC's endeavor to meet the demand-supply equation between the industry and academia. Given the dynamics of the IT industry, it is always important to impart hands-on training and cutting edge technologies of relevance to industry today and prepare the minds of future IT professionals for life-long learning. Our alliance with MNNIT reinforces C-DAC's Agenda to create a platform for new entrants to industry for technology intensive and market driven field of IT of tomorrow. Under the terms of the MoU, MNNIT will provide the high-end non-formal training programmes in ICT to the students of Allahabad. The postgraduate diploma programmes will be conducted at MNNIT, Allahabad. The various programmes which will be conducted includes Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC), Diploma in Wireless & Mobile Computing (WiMC), Diploma in VLSI Design (DVLSI) and Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA). The certificate diploma programmes will also be conducted for the students. These programmes include the Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (ADIT) and Diploma in Information Technology (DIT). These high-end career oriented IT training programmes designed and developed by the Advanced Computing School of C-DAC will assist the students in molding their skills based on the requirements of the IT industry thereby providing an advantage in placements and in their career path. The syllabi of the programmes are designed based on industry inputs and the IT training programmes have been developed taking the latest technologies in consideration. MNNIT offers a wide range of educational programs in the field of Technology, Science and Management leading to B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD, MBA and MCA degrees and has a rich tradition of academic excellence, value based education.
