The gulf fishing and tourism industry was severely affected. The impact was there for more than 6 months and led to huge loss. The Gulf of Mexico lost their tourist and the country is totally dependent on the tourist for their revenue. Tony Hayward deeply apologized to the mass; he said "I'm sorry. We're sorry for the massive disruption it's caused their lives. There's no one who wants this over more than I do. I'd like my life back." This disaster forced him to leave BP forever.
