Norway: Norway has the second highest GDP in the world. It’s the second wealthiest country in the world in terms of monetary value. Norway has a very high standard of living and the Norwegians spend a significant share of their income on food. Norwegians love their sea food-salmon, herring, trout and codfish. $7,624 was spent on food by the average Norwegian. All the meals cooked at home came around $4885 per head. The Norwegian spent $1151 on meals devoured in restaurants. Norway spent the highest amount in the world for consumption of tobacco and alcohol. Norway comes at number 2 in the list of countries which spend the most on food.

Australia: Australia is the country with the highest median wealth in the whole world. In Australia, income has grown more than food prices. The food inflation has remained below 1 percent. The Australian household spends one third of its food budget on eating out. An average Australian eats out four times a month. The average Australian spends $2131 on meals in restaurants. Chicken fast food restaurants are the most preferred eating out destinations. Meals at home come at around $3814 per person. They spent $1331 on tobacco and alcohol. Australia is world’s third largest spender on food after Switzerland and Norway.
