I am a communication professional.With over 12 years in the business of communications, both in journalism and marketing, I bring in the unique blend of perspectives that make for complete 360° communications. I have founded Communiqué- a communication consulting firm that aims to build a communication culture in organizations across industries. In my last assignmnet I worked with HCL Technologies, leading the Thought Leadership positioning for their Financial services practice, worldwide. Before that I was with MindTree Ltd, a leading IT and R&D solutions company as Manager Marketing. Earlier I worked with Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) as Communication Manager , at the height of fee-cut controversy.I could effectively turn the crisis into an opportunity to understand and propagate brand strength.
I went back to TV journalism after IIMC and joined Times Now, a Times of India and Reuters collaboration news channel as Principal Correspondent. I went on to work for it in Kolkata and then in Bangalore, leading from the front to establish the channel’s reputation as a reliable, credible and fastest news provider in the crowded space of broadcast news bandwith. Earlier I had worked for leading TV news channels including Sahara Samay, ETV and Doordarshan.
I am on the panel of Evaluators and Guest Lecturers in prestigious media institutes such as Symbiosis Institute of Media Studies, Pune and International Institute of Journalism and New Media, Bangalore.
My film “Aami” was the first of-the-children-for-the-children-by-the-children film in India, adjudged the best film in KFK film Festival Athens (2004).
