It encompasses complete Search Engine Optimization part and having responsibilities for all the Line of Business at Basically this provides me the opportunity to lead the team in best ways to make one of the largest and Fastest Growing community portal in India, that caters to travelers need based queries as well as to their decision making process in selection of best places for their Holidays in additions to recommendation on how to actually make their experience memorable. Thus it encompasses engaging travelers at every stage of their Journey, from conceptualization to the transactional stage. Earlier at MakeMyTrip, My experience was similarly very challenging and spanned from working on their core Bus ticketing LOB to their fastest Growing UAE LOB and Car rental LOB. Difference thus is in the nature of the business - Former was the largest OTA with focus mainly on transactional conversions, here it is towards complete travelers engagement

It Goes by the definition of Criticality - In normal circumstances i do not bring my official work to Home - but there are critical alerts or parameters i have set - in which case only i sometime carry my work to Home. Next comes constantly focusing on improving efficiency, setting targets for yourself and team members - the aim is to reduce - escalations and delays - most importantly teamwork and delegation - allows you much flexibility - Go for Organic Solidarity at workplace in most of your office work and you can save lot of time

Job Profile Involves Complete SEO efforts for - from Competitor Landscaping, Benchmarking of Organic SEO efforts, Introducing best SEO performance Metrics and most Important of all to make the organic channel the the most critical among the marketing functions. Technical troubleshooting for best SEO results and alining them to the best of Search engine practice remains the Core area of My Work. Close collaboration between SEO, Social Media and Local Search is another big area i love to push.

Growth Strategy:
Keeping a close eye on your competitor landscape is a must and this gives me really both motivation to work out of the Box and innovate some thing new always. Second thing is to keep a close eye on the market or Landscape you are working in. I find really very encouraging how new things are cropping up every day and to keep yourself settled in the competition you have to really invest in closely understanding a watch on this as well as work on the clues for competitive edge it offers, though that might not give huge returns in short term.
Other Thoughts:
I feel that we have great Potential in India for making travel sector rank top among the service sector - we just have to think about the last traveler who do not have a credit card and also at the future travelers - who interacts only online. Then we should always have a mixed Marketing channel strategy as well as Move Big on Integrated marketing which is SEO, Mobile and Local search combined
Plans For The Future:
Right Now pretty focused on my present role. Later on i surely want to be a travel or Technology Entrepreneur who bring a really new way of serving the traveller's needs

One, enter an area which you want to work for. Second, Always keep investing in enhancing your ability - this also means never stop learning. Third, work and learn in a team. Lastly never fear to be responsible, even if it means negative appreciation - this will enable you to grow in many ways

The Decisions That Matter
Most important career decision was really moving away from a purely marketing role to the new one and that relates to that of understanding the customer inside out - this has changes my perception of not only what should we be actually focusing on but also what a normal transaction focused website really misses - Putting you in customers Perspective in what the differentiating factor which i have learnt in my new role. Earlier i moved away from a technical Product company to travel, which also gave me the opportunity to work for the fastest growing service sector in India
