About Sham Gandhi

I am an Electronics Engineer with over 29 years of work experience primarily in CAD/CAM. I was working with Rolta India Limited as an Assistant Vice President – Production (GIS) for last 8 years. I was handling an overseas and domestic assignment with a team of 100 GIS specialist. We mainly work in Microstation-V7.1, ArcGIS, Geo-Media & G-Tech GIS Software.

Electrical and Mechanical documentation on CAD was my forte. Besides, I also have the abilities of planning, marketing, production and project execution. Having majored in Computer Science and Control Systems, I have also completed various certificate courses in Computer Aided Designs & Graphics. I also had the opportunity of attending numerous seminars on CAD/CAM.

During my association with NELCO, I gained valuable knowledge on interfaces to be implemented for right applications and was instrumental in making CAD- center as a commercial center. This enabled me to apply similar concept in implementing CAD-Technology in SIEMENS- R & D of Medical Engineering Dept. During the process, I evaluated various software like AutoCAD Rel.14, AutoSurf, 3Dsolid Modeling, CADstar, Pads-2000, PCAD, Orcad & Tango etc. The total project planned in three phases with a volume of Rs. 0.3 million was successfully implemented.
