My accomplishments
Received Technovation 2008, an ISA award from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for the year 2008
Specialization area in Embedded systems
As technology has shrunk and we can implement millions of gates on a reasonable small die, power density and power dissipation has grown to a large extent. So low power designing matters most in future
Current work profile
I'm a Lead IC Logic Designer at Xilinx working on Next Generation FPGA design and development
Choosing between money and job satisfaction
Job Satisfaction is more important. As long as you are satisfied with job, you perform efficiently. This helps getting recognized and automatically money follows if your contribution has helped the company grow.
My journey in corporate world
Started courier as a trainee at KarMic, Manipal after completing my UG project at KarMic. After an year of training, I worked at Satyam for 2 years on RTL design/verification. Then worked with ARM for 4 years on DFT-MBISTr. Currently working with Xilinx delivering designs for next generation FPGAs
Language with embedded systems
Verilog, Verilog-A, System Verilog etc.
Advice to workforce
Be clear with Basics. Don't believe in shortcuts instead be smart and consistent.
Couple of year from now
I would be successfully driving multiple teams to success within the organization.
Important role as team player
It was essential to prove competency and responsiveness to win projects for Design center in India. I ensured exceptional support to the project management team and demonstrated the ability to drive it with the team here in India
My role model
I admire all those who believe in hard work. I'm inspired by many such people and my father tops the list. In spite of being a graduate, he chose to be an agriculturist and in each walk of his life he taught us what is hardwork and dedication for the profession.
Books recommended

My family background
Father - Agriculturist,
Mother - Housewife,
Brother - Scientist-DMR-Solan,
Sister - IT Professional,
Wife - Housewife and preparing for Civil Services
My view on India Technical development
Education system should concentrate on making the students bold and encourage them to take risks. As a country we should not fear about failures and the same applies to individuals. And seniors in the IT firms should share their experience and drive youngsters towards Innovation.
Degree recommended
Not required as long as you have good opportunity to learn while you work. But if you are interested in particular domain which didn't align with your Organization's domain of work, you may take certification courses to change your domain
Scope of embedded systems
scope of embedded systems keeps growing. Infact solutions keeps getting smarter and tighter. So future is really good.
