I started Mobility solutions company in Oct 2010 with 1 client and 5 developers. The client was a US based client with a automation project for android.Movivation Labs is mobility solutions company. We do Business to Business, Business to Consumer solutions.Following are our offerings -1) Field Sales Management -Ordering and Order Status,Inventory,Customer Accounts,Reporting,Geo-Tagging Customers,Price comparison matrix ,Catalog2) Field Services Management -Manage daily call Cycles,Surveys,Questionnaires, Attendance, Maintain Stocks and Sales report.3) Catalog Solution -Show case your products as categories, sub categories, productsPush deals for the products,Mobile Ordering,Location of stores,Loyalty Management program4) Dashboard development -CIO level dashboards for Infrastructure, Call centers and so on.

My role at different dimensions as the company evolved


I think
it is team work. The key here is to be walk the talk. Work with the team on a
daily basis for improvements at every stage. The difference I have made to the

Most critical decision

We were initially based in Surat and I was operating remotely from Mumbai. I wanted to bring the entire team to Mumbai and scale up operations.For the same I joined hands with viva infomedia. They already had the infrastructure to support and scale up.

Some of the difficulties faced while building product/ solution

The difficulties are the number of platforms you need to support for a mobile application. Even within each platform, every hardware vendor has their own tweaks for platforms like android..

Three big lessons/ mistakes encountered while building company

On our first customer, we had bad debt of about 2 months and that time we had a single customer. This was due to lack of strong paper work.So first lesson is to have a good paper work in place for each customer .Second lesson is to not compromise on project cost. It is better to leave a project if you cannot meet budget of that customer..

Different actions if I rebuild my company from scratch all over again

I shall build focus group for each technology within Mobility solutions to get much quality output in short span of time. 

Motivation and Drives factor

The dynamics and the market potential of Mobility solutions. It is a game changer.The thing that drives me the most is the variety of requirements for Mobility solutions in both B2B and B2C market place.

Risks involved in business and way of addressing

The biggest
risk is inconsistent inflow of services business. We have addressed it by
complementing it with product development which increases IP of the company.

Be bold
to your customers and Humble to your employees.

Way of choosing my people

This is
again our very strong point.Few simple things we do are as follows -Young and
Dynamic,Mix of Core development and UI skills,We choose people who aspire to be
nothing but the best,We choose creative developer (for e.g. one developer we
chose had already created apps in app store where the music will change by
waving hand on top of the phone).

The challenges and lessons learnt to get first customer
We
got our first customer through a reference. The challenges were requirements
capture while working remotely.

Not
reached out yet. But they are reaching out to us 
As a leader how I make sure that I am connecting the right dots

This is
again our true strength -1) Use right people for right work (some are creative,
some like complex codes, some like to work on back end, so on)2) Give credit to
the team every time there is a good feedback or business win.3) Focus on team
work. Make sure team gels well.4) Last but not the least, to scale up, use team
leads to drive the scale.

Unique about my way of motivating troops


This is the biggest differentiator
in our company. The people who joined us in the beginning are still with us
which puts a smile on my face every time I think about it.Simply put, Here are our ways
of motivating employees - Bring new and interesting projects,Flexibility of
