Transact Global caters to around 50 clients in the domestic market with a staff strength of 800 members, today. I would like to see it listed among the most aggressively grown companies in the IT ITES sector with the best CSAT & employee satisfaction scores. We foresee the company having its centers in all major Tier1 & Tier 2 cities.

In this new era of competitive business environment, Business Intelligence plays a very vital role. Having said that keeping your basics & philosophies intact is equally important. Data plays a very significant role in understanding the behaviour pattern of the market. One of the major reasons for our growth has been analytics that we give to our customer as a part of our offerings.

I work with Transact Global ( a company cofounded with my friend ) as a director of operations & finance. I'm 32 years old and I hold a bachelors degree in science and a post graduate diploma in Operations management.

Learnings

Many.. A few that I can propose to the new generation entrepreneurs are.
1. Don't get into something that you don't understand well.
2. There is no shortcut to success. You will not be able to see success unless you soil your cloths.
3. Perseverance
4. Ethical business environment and flexibility for your employees. This will take you a long way.
5. Market your product & service yourself during the initial days. No one understands your business better than you do. If you cant, you either dont understand your product/ service well or you are not in the right space.

New trend

CMS's ( complaint management systems) is a part of our offerings. I'd be very keen on learning about issue resolution from technology point of view. Updates and newer ways to keep connected with your customers is something that I'd keen on knowing about.

Describe your struggle of achieving success

My philosophy has been quite straight forward at least till date... Grow your business with your profits.. Notional profits according to me will take you no where. I knew that if we kept out customers happy our business would grow and eventually we would end up making money. I handle 10 government projects today and all of them have come out of references ( without greasing anyones hands) .

Comparison of current work from previous one

Every day is a challenge. There is a different kind of issue that i'm dealing with, everyday and am getting more and more experienced !!! This was never the case with my previous job.

Your Role

I'm the head of Operations & Finance at Transact... As a Finance head, I set some targets for myself with respect to revenues and profits for every financial year. We have seen an average growth of around 60% every year.

As an Operations Head, I make sure that my customers are happy about outsourcing their work to us and I add value to their business.
