My advice will be to continuously develop the knowledge, skill and expertise. Continuous self development holds the key for future success.
HR Strategies In Place
The most important strategy is to foster continuous learning and development of the employees. It continuously provoke people 'to do more with less'.
Qualities that we Look For While Hiring:
We primarily hire fresh recruits. In such recruiting, we mainly evaluate his domain knowledge and emotional intelligence.
Recruiting new generation:
Yes. They are ambitious. We make efforts to give them challenging tasks and motivate them to undertake cross functional activities.
Identifying and Promoting New Leaders:
We lay due emphasis on 'people skills'of the employees for identifying leaders for the next levels.
Attract good people, Retain Better Performers and Advance the Best:
Overall image and performance of the company is the best way to attract good people.
Helping to develop the country
A professional is good at his/her chosen field but most importantly can be depended upon. The factor of 'dependability' (i.e. reliability) is the hallmark of a true professional. The essential components of professionalism in any field are knowledge, skill & expertise. However, these three components are not static in nature and they need to be continuously developed, honed and applied. By this process, one continuously adds to his professionalism and moves towards excellence. It in turn has its positive impact on the country as a whole. The mass movement of striving for professional excellence in all fields will push India to become developed country.
Improving Education system
The present education system in India focuses mainly on developing cognitive intelligence. However, there are various types of intelligence. Balanced approaches are required for development in all fronts. Moreover, only restricted number of disciplines have employment opportunities. The course contents of majority of disciplines are outdated and don't offer career opportunities. The course structure including content need to be overhauled.
HR Challenges:
Business processes itself are undergoing rapid changes. Hence HR Strategy should also be flexible in tandem with that. That's the challenge.
Relationship with HR and Top Management
CEO is the Chief Mentor in the organisation. HR Department and CEO maintain a strong relationship. This is the effective way to spearhead HR intervention in the organisation.
Pain Points:
The main pain point of HR is to align individual goal / aspirations with organisational priorities. Sometimes, it becomes extremely challenging for HR people to explain and convince short term HR actions with long term goals of the company.
Current HR Trends:
With several opportunities opening up, the upcoming trend will be much faster attrition. The greatest challenge will be to retain good people.
