Responsible for formulating and enforcing Project Health, Safety
and Environment Plan, enforce company HSE regulations and
monitoring construction site safety procedures and
Policies • Advice and support management at all levels on
Health, Safety & Environmental issues • Ensuring compliance
of Company and Clients’ Health & Safety Policy on the
Project. • Maintenance of all safety records: Information,
Man-hours, Safety statistics, Accident/Incident, Occupational ill
health and Near miss reports & all inspections, tests and
examinations. • Coordinating with Project Leader for ensuring
adequate safety coverage on the site. • Planning & conducting
Weekly Safety Meeting with the Construction team and
subcontractors, Inspection and Audits; coordinating with Safety
Advisors and Site First Aid Clinic. • Reviewing contractors
HSE Documents e.g. Method statement and Risk
assessment. • Monitoring contractor’s activity on site and
Tool Box Meetings that are conducted by the contractors and
ensuring all contractors are adopting safe system of
work. • Analyzing Accident / incident reports, Occupational
ill health, Dangerous occurrences, and Near misses and
investigating the same and issue of
recommendations. • Coordinate with contractor management for
Promoting HSE awareness among staffs and skilled
workers • Ensuring adequate fire and safety equipment is
available at worksite. • Check proper maintenance, Calibration
of all safety equipment including personal protective
Equipment • Evaluating need & placing orders for specified
safety equipment. • Conducting of regular project HSE
inspections and suggestion for improvements. • Providing
monthly HSE statistics to management for review
purpose. • Identify & organizing safety training including
Emergency Evacuation. • Encouraging Safety Award Schemes to
promote safety culture on the site. • Analyses of unsafe acts/
conditions and recommending corrective measures and follow up.
• Ensure lessons learned programs are developed as a result
of any accident or incident on site and distributed to site
supervisor for toolbox safety meeting Reporting to:
Project Director.
